A historic railway-junction turned wasteland, the Gleisdreieck area has now become a modern city park with unique character and features. With the eastern side of the park opened in 2011, the western park was in need of a variety of environmental graphics to compliment it.
Continuing on from the existing graphic system of the eastern park, a map was developed to finally present the park as a whole. Custom pictograms were used for certain areas, and feature prominently in the physical space, with additional pictograms used in play-areas.
Large-scale typography and arrows were applied to entrances and a large walkway joining the two sides of the park.
